Two years ago, we sat here on a bench.
I was gazing at a hot air balloon drifting by.
We were talking about how life wasn't giving us an easy time. We were both going through a rough patch.

Before I returned to Den Haag, she wanted to show me this place, where she could find serenity, calmness, inspiration. Her special spot.

We hugged and said goodbye. I had had to take the train back to the other side of the country. "It was fun, we should hang out again some time", I said. Not knowing this would be the last time, I would see her.

She was right, it is a nice spot.
And I will visit it again.
