Horse owners dilemma: If I eat my neighbors horse, and he eats mine, neither of us can get to work. If I eat his, and he doesn’t eat mine, I’m fed and I get to work. If he eats mine and I don’t eat his, he’s fed and I can’t get to work. How to guarantee neither of us eat each others horse, guaranteeing the best possible outcome each time?
